The app Scydo makes free calls available to those who are using the iPhone or Android mobile phones. Starting with a nice credit of 2,50 euro.
Thats like 3,50 dollar what you can use for international calling or your local friends with no Scydo.
Like the known chat program Viber, Scydo makes use of the existing contact list of your phone which is really handy.
VoIP calls between iPhones and Androids isn't something new, it's already possible with applications such as Skype and Fring. But Scydo distinct in
that it integrates with the phonebook of the smartphone. Therefore, after the initial setup you can see all the contacts and if they use the app on their
phone. And then you are able to start calling free with the contacts who have the Scydo app.
Scydo was already on IOS, but this week they also released an Android version.
Thus the number of possible contacts increased substantially there is a bigger possibility that one of your friends can use the app.
Earlier in the year other application become a great success, because they
looked in the contact list, which contacts the app on their phone already.
Scydo works through VoIP. As a result, many users can call for unlimited amount over 3G, 4g and wifi networks.
Many providers are working with hard data limits, so users must pay extra if they exseed their limits. Be carefull
if they do and prefer to use a local wifi network.
A VoIP call is a data-intensive service so be carefull and have fun with this cheap sollution!
